My registration payment was unsuccessful. What can I do?
We have identified two common issues affecting some registrants:
1. Identification Requirement at Time of Payment:
When completing the ‘Card Information’ and ‘Owner Data’ section, the default ID type is set to ‘CC’ (Colombian Citizenship ID). Please click on the ‘CC’ field and change it to ‘Passport number’ to ensure successful processing.2. Card Payment Rejections:
Some card payments are being rejected due to security blocks from the issuing bank. A ~$1,000 USD transaction to a Colombian entity may be flagged as unusual activity. To avoid this, we recommend that cardholders notify their banks in advance about the transaction, including the amount and destination country (Colombia).Most users who encountered payment issues were able to complete their registration after following the steps above. However, if you continue to experience difficulties, we recommend opting for payment via bank transfer.
Who bears the cost of a bank transfer?
Please note that registrants are responsible for all bank transfer fees. If the amount received is less than the full registration fee, the registrant will be required to cover the remaining balance.
When making a bank transfer, to whom should the payment be addressed?
Please ensure that the transfer is made out to “welcome Events / WAZA Conference” as stated on the invoice.
How can I book my hotel at the special conference rate?
The Cologne Zoo has arranged special rates for conference participants at various hotels in Cologne. Click on this link to view the selection of hotels and book your hotel directly:
What is the official language of the conference? Will there be translation services available?
The conference will be held entirely in English. However, there will be translation services available for those who require them.
What should I do if I haven’t received a payment confirmation?
Our conference planning team works alongside our partner bank to ensure the successful payments of all registrants. Once this verification process is completed, registrants receive a conference registration confirmation email. Usually this can be confirmed within 3 working days of registering, but if you have yet to receive a confirmation email one week after making your payment, please contact us at waza2026@welcome-events.de
Can the organizing committee provide a letter of invitation for visa purposes?
Yes, if you require an invitation letter for your visa application, please feel free to contact waza2026@welcome-events.de. We will be happy to provide one for you after your registration is complete.
