My registration payment was unsuccessful. What can I do?
If your credit card payment is unsuccessful, you will receive an email from us containing a link where you can try to make the payment again via the payment provider.
If this payment is also unsuccessful, please contact the conference organising office at waza2026@welcome-events.de.
We will look into your enquiry and explore alternative ways for you to make the payment.Who bears the cost of a bank transfer?
Please note that registrants are responsible for all bank transfer fees. If the amount received is less than the full registration fee, the registrant will be required to cover the remaining balance.
When making a bank transfer, to whom should the payment be addressed?
After you have finalized your registration process and have decided for a payment by “bank transfer” an invoice will be sent to the specified email address. On this invoice you will find detailed information to whom the payment must be addressed. The recipient is “welcome Events /WAZA Annual Conference”.
How can I book my hotel at the special conference rate?
The Cologne Zoo has arranged special rates for conference participants at various hotels in Cologne. Click on this link to view the selection of hotels and book your hotel directly:
What is the official language of the conference? Will there be translation services available?
The conference will be held entirely in English. However, there will be translation services available for those who require them.
Do I need a visa to visit Cologne?
International participants attending the WAZA Conference in Cologne may require a visa depending on their nationality. Citizens of EU/EEA countries and Switzerland do not need a visa for short stays.
Participants from other countries should check if a Schengen visa (up to 90 days) or a national visa is required. Visa applications must generally be submitted well in advance.
